FAQ

Where do Poly Loot weapons come from?
Three places: the crafting station, monster drops and bosses. You start with a sword from Captain Mara, and the official patch notes list what each update added, from the crafted Crystal Blade to the Triple Head Cobra's Venom Dagger and Cobra Spear.
What is the best weapon in Poly Loot?
No official ranking exists, and no creator has published damage numbers for the new gear. The in-game Top DPS leaderboard ranks players by their current weapon damage, and the rarest weapon with a published chance is the Bat Striker at 1 in 1,000,000, from the Halloween Dungeon.
Is there a Poly Loot tier list?
Not a verified one. The game has no official weapon ranking and no creator has published damage numbers, so any Poly Loot tier list would be guesswork right now. The closest things to a ranking are the in-game Top DPS leaderboard and the published drop chances, which only show rarity.
Which armor sets are in Poly Loot?
Crystal (crafted), Diamond, Jungle, Cobra, Emerald, Dark, Cursed, Soul, Scarecrow, Vampire Bat, Ruby, Sea and Crab, plus the Pumpkin Reaper set in the Paid Chest and the retired Nether set. Most also appear among the Index sets, which give permanent bonuses.
Does Cobra armor do anything special?
Yes. The official Jungle notes say Cobra armor reduces poison damage, and completing the Cobra set in the Index adds a Health bonus. It launched at +20%; V3 raised every older set's bonus without publishing the new figure.
How do you get the Jungle Bow?
Craft it from Jungle Wood, Cobwebs and Iron Ore, according to the official Jungle notes. The crafting screen in Dannie's video asks for 50 cobwebs and 30 iron ore.

Where do Poly Loot weapons come from?

Poly Loot weapons come from three places: the crafting station, monster drops and bosses. You start with a sword from Captain Mara, early monsters drop basic weapons and armor, and each update has added a new tier of gear. The developer’s patch notes on the official Discord list everything Update 1.5 and the Jungle update added, and this page sorts it by where you get it.

For the Jungle Bow, the crafting screen in Dannie’s gorilla-quest video asks for 50 cobwebs and 30 iron ore. The wood count is hidden behind a tooltip, and Dannie reads it as 75 jungle wood (unverified). The Triple Head Cobra page covers that boss and its 15-minute respawn.

Which armor sets are there?

These are the named sets in the official notes and store. Most also appear among the Index sets, which give a permanent bonus once completed:

The bonuses for the sets above Emerald are the launch figures. V3 says “every older Index set now gives a much bigger boost” but does not publish the new numbers; the Index shows your real one.

V3 also added six weapons by name — the Emerald Hammer, Potion Spear, Dark Dagger, Dark Axe, Cursed Sword and Cursed Greataxe — and two rare ones: the Godly Soul Scythe, 1 in 250 per Dark Dungeon clear, and the Secret Shadow Katana, 0.01% from Archmage Vex. The Dark Forest page covers where each drops.

The Beach update adds 12 more, naming the Crab Katana, Crab Spear, Coral Axe and Sea Twinblade Axe from the Skullcrab, plus the Godly Crab Hammer (1 in 250) and the Godly Anchor Blade (1 in 100 from Captain Blackpowder). Its top 3 on the Weekly Spent board also win a Secret Robux Hammer.

The Tower update counts 3 more, and the notes name three new ones: the Secret Abyssor Scythe (1 in 10,000 from Abyssor), the Secret Throne Reaper Scythe (floor 105 with the Tower Pass) and the Unknown Tower Champion Greatsword (top 10 of the Tower season). The Competition Tower also makes weapon variety matter, since each floor can leave one type at x3 and another at x0.25.

Lootaween’s rare drops are far longer shots: the Secret Bat Bow at 1 in 400,000 and the Bat Striker at 1 in 1,000,000, though the notes say the Halloween Dungeon’s bosses drop them far more often. Pumpkin Chests hold 6 weapons including the Secret Toxic Twinblade Axe, with one guaranteed every 1,000 chests, and four quest hosts each give a piece of the Epic Pumpkin Hammer.

One item changes the top end: a Limit Breaker doubles the max of a Secret or Unknown weapon or armor piece, as many times as you like. It comes from the Top 50 of the weekly leaderboard, and since V4.5 from the top 100 of the Competition Tower season.

Cobra armor has one more perk: it reduces poison damage. Two other pieces of news from the notes affect armor:

  • Secret and Unknown armor now copies your best piece in its own slot, so Secret boots follow your best boots instead of your best chestplate. The game also warns you before you sell, dismantle or craft with the item your Secret or Unknown gear scales from.
  • Unknown Shards come from the Shard Chest at a 0.3% chance, and every 400 opens guarantees one.

A quest adds one standalone piece: carrying Explorer Reed to Doctor Ten earns the Godly Speed Boots. Early armor comes from ordinary drops. Gravy Live picked up a vest and boots, and AccelToWin found iron leggings and boots. The drops page covers whether the Nether set can be earned without Robux, and lists every Index set.

What is the best weapon in Poly Loot?

There is no official ranking, and no creator has published damage numbers for the new gear. Two things help you judge for yourself:

  • The Top DPS leaderboard. Update 1.5 added it, and it ranks players by their current weapon damage, so it shows what the strongest players are carrying.
  • Grades and upgrades. The same weapon gets stronger with a better tier grade and more upgrade levels, and hovering over upgraded gear shows its level. The tier scrolls guide explains rerolls, and creators upgrade gear at the upgrade station with shards and coins.

For rarity, the longest published odds are the Bat Striker’s 1 in 1,000,000, and the Shadow Katana’s 0.01% is next among permanent drops. Rare pulls clearly matter to players: one short is titled “I PULLED THE RAREST WEAPON IN POLY LOOT!”. Whatever you use, enchant it. Each piece of gear holds up to 2 enchantments, as the abilities page explains. The Quick Switch wheel lets you swap between 4 weapons, so you can carry a bow and a melee weapon at once.

Is there a Poly Loot tier list?

Not a verified one yet. A Poly Loot tier list needs damage numbers for each weapon, and neither the developers nor the creators covered here have published them, so ranking the Crystal Blade against the Cobra Spear today would be guesswork.

What the game does give you is a grade on every item. Tier scrolls reroll that grade, ItzVexo kept an A+ roll, and the official Z Tier badge puts a Z roll at 1 in 10,000. So a weapon tier list and a weapon’s tier grade are two different things in Poly Loot: the first ranks weapons against each other, the second is a random roll on the copy you own.

Until real numbers appear, check the Top DPS leaderboard to see what the strongest players carry, and treat the rare drops above as the hardest to get, not as proven best ones.

What about the elemental swords?

Five elemental swords are hidden around the map: Red and Blue in the starting area, Green in the Jungle, Pink in the Dark Forest and Yellow at the Beach. Dannie calls them weak on their own (unverified), and players in comments expect them to combine into a stronger weapon later, but the developer has not confirmed that. The elemental locations page has the routes.
