How do Poly Loot abilities work?
Spend an Ability Rune at the Ability Circle to roll one of 8 abilities. You can store up to 3 rolled abilities and choose one as your active ability, which you use with Q on keyboard, the ability button on mobile or LT on controller.
Where do you get Ability Runes in Poly Loot?
The official notes name your first win against Hunter Robin, rare drops from the Spider and the Triple Head Cobra, and your first duel win against Warden Alder or Captain Blackpowder. Dracula's Castle, Abyssor and the Clan Wars Trophy Road give them too. Creators add certain quests and the Index, and runes can also be bought with Robux.
What is the best ability to roll?
Dannie calls Berserk the best, while Gravy Live liked the dash. No damage numbers have been published, so treat both as opinions.
How do you beat Warden Alder?
Duel him in the Jungle ruins at level 80. No fight guide exists yet, but the rewards are official: your first win gives an Ability Rune and 10 Weapon, Armor and Mount Tier Scrolls, and rematches every 30 minutes have a 1 in 75 rune chance.
How do enchantments work?
Take an enchant book and some Coins to the Enchanting Circle in the jungle to add up to 2 enchantments to one piece of gear. Update 2.5 raised the count from 4 to 22 with books bought from Trader Ken, and later updates took it to 29. The enchants page lists them.

How do Poly Loot abilities work?

Poly Loot abilities are unlocked with Ability Runes. Take a rune to the Ability Circle and the game rolls one of 8 abilities for you. You can store up to 3 rolled abilities and choose one as your active ability, then use it with Q on keyboard, the ability button on mobile or LT on controller. These rules come from the official Update 1.5 notes posted on the game’s Discord.

Gravy Live’s playthrough shows the loop from scratch. With no rune, the ability menu stays locked, so Gravy Live bought one and rolled Flash Step. After testing it on the Q key, with Cannon and Slash also coming up on the roll screen, Gravy Live ended up calling the dash “OP”. Dannie’s rune guide shows the same roll screen with a percentage for each result and a reroll option for sale.

The official store sells rerolls and slots. Ability purchases went on sale on August 26, 2026:

The official “Abilities + Mining + Bows” event (September 5 to 8, 2026) was the headline for the system, and for a while the game title carried an [ABILITIES] tag.

The official notes list all eight:

No creator has published damage numbers or cooldowns, so rankings are opinions for now. Having any ability beats having none. Dannie says exactly that, and Gravy Live’s opinion of the dash flipped from “the worst one” to “OP” after testing it.

Dannie sums it up bluntly: outside of Robux, every route takes a lot of time, either heavy grinding or the progression needed to reach the Warden. Since then the options have widened. The repeatable free sources are the rare drops from the Spider and the Triple Head Cobra, rematches against Warden Alder and Captain Blackpowder, and, until November 7, Dracula’s Castle, which has the lowest level gate of any of them. How many ability slots do you get?

Up to 3. The official notes say you can store up to 3 rolled abilities and choose one as your active ability. The store also sells “+1 Ability Slot” for 149 Robux, and Dannie’s rune guide shows holding two abilities and switching between them. The notes don’t say whether the third slot needs that purchase, so check the ability menu before you buy one.

How do you get the Warden Alder ability rune?

Duel him in the Jungle ruins once you reach level 80. The official Jungle notes set out the rewards:

  • Your first win gives an Ability Rune and 10 Weapon, Armor and Mount Tier Scrolls.
  • After that you can rematch him every 30 minutes for a 1 in 75 chance at another rune.

At 1 in 75, a second rune takes 75 rematches on average, which adds up to about 37 hours of rematch timers. His official badge (“Defeat Warden Alder!”) was added on September 11, 2026 and had been earned 36,322 times by October 31, with a 2.0% win rate on Roblox. Dannie says reaching the fight takes a long progression grind. The map page covers getting into the Jungle.

If he will not give you the duel, check your open quests. Igro Mir found that the rune challenges can only be taken one at a time, and that Grandma Fern’s Whiskers quest sits in the same line, so it blocked the duel until the cat was back (unverified).

What about Hunter Robin’s archery challenge?

Your first win gives an Ability Rune, according to the official Update 1.5 notes. Dannie calls it the first way to earn a rune and probably the hardest: the first two stages are easy, but the last one is “so chaotic” that Dannie could not clear it (unverified). The Jungle update then made it easier. Hunter Robin’s moving target is slower, he scores about 1-2 points less, the challenge is easier on mobile, and the archery rounds now make up for lag.

The official “Hunter Robin” badge (“Beat Hunter Robin at the archery range!”) was added on September 3, 2026, and Bbkill describes the challenge in a video description as “a hard challenge”. The quests page collects what is known about Hunter Robin.

How do enchantments work?

They add bonuses to your gear, and they are a separate system from abilities: abilities are rolled with Ability Runes and you pick one to use, while enchantments are applied to a piece of gear and stay on it.

The short version: take an enchant book and some Coins to the Enchanting Circle in the jungle, and each piece of gear holds up to 2 enchantments. Update 2.5 took the count from 4 to 22, and the books for the 18 new ones are bought from Trader Ken in the jungle village.

The four that came with the Jungle update are still quest and boss rewards rather than shop stock:

The count has since reached 25, after V3 added three Godly enchantments. The full list, Trader Ken’s stall and his reputation discount are on the enchants page. The same official notes add that Cobra armor reduces poison damage.
