FAQ

How do you get the gorilla mount in Poly Loot?
Finish Herbalist Sela's Jungle quests, which the official Jungle notes say lets you ride Sela's Gorilla. Her King of the Jungle quest asks for 100 gorillas and 50 each of frogs, tigers, crocodiles and cobras, plus the Triple Head Cobra.
What level do you need for the Poly Loot gorilla mount?
The official notes list no level for Herbalist Sela's quests, but you have to reach the Jungle. From level 80 you can set your spawn at the Jungle's Respawn Shrine, which saves walking back during a long kill grind. Dannie calls the Jungle an area for level 80 and above.
Who gives the mount quest?
Herbalist Sela. The official Jungle notes say finishing her quests lets you ride Sela's Gorilla, and DanKnowsStuff's quest tracker sends the gorilla kill quest back to her. Dannie's video credits Scout Koa, but Scout Koa's quests are the separate walking and dodging drills.
What does the mount do?
It is a Legendary mount that makes you move faster. Mount Tier Scrolls reroll a mount's Tier to change its Speed, according to the official Jungle notes.
Is the Poly Loot gorilla mount worth the grind?
Dannie calls the chain a long and tedious task for extra speed, and only recommends it if you want to grind the game. Players have still asked for it several times in video comments.

How do you get the Poly Loot gorilla mount?

You earn the Poly Loot gorilla mount by finishing Herbalist Sela’s quests in the Jungle. The official Jungle update notes call the reward Sela’s Gorilla, a Legendary mount. Her “King of the Jungle” quest is the big one: 100 gorilla kills plus 50 frogs, 50 tigers, 50 crocodiles and 50 cobras, and then the Triple Head Cobra.

Players want this mount. Three separate comments under Dannie’s Jungle videos ask how to get it: “Please gorilla mount pet”, “How to get gorilla mount”, and a request for a video on “how to get the gorila mount” that picked up two likes. Dannie posted a dedicated gorilla-quest video on September 16, 2026.

What does the gorilla quest ask for?

DanKnowsStuff’s on-screen quest tracker shows the kill quest in full, and Dannie reads out the same core numbers:

Objective Target Confirmed by
Slay gorillas 100 DanKnowsStuff’s tracker, Dannie
Slay frogs 50 DanKnowsStuff’s tracker, Dannie
Slay tigers 50 DanKnowsStuff’s tracker, Dannie
Slay crocodiles 50 DanKnowsStuff’s tracker; Dannie says 50 of every Jungle mob
Slay cobras 50 DanKnowsStuff’s tracker; Dannie guesses “vipers”
Defeat the Triple Head Cobra 1 DanKnowsStuff’s tracker

The last step is to hand the quest in to Sela. Dannie calls this quest the most difficult one, because it asks for 50 of every Jungle mob on top of the 100 gorillas. Dannie’s tracker also shows another of Sela’s quests, “Light the Path”, which asks you to build 7 light posts. The notes say “Herbalist Sela’s quests” without listing them, so check her dialogue for any others.

Who gives the quest: Scout Koa or Herbalist Sela?

Sela. The official Jungle notes settle it: “Finish Herbalist Sela’s quests to ride Sela’s Gorilla.” Dannie’s gorilla video names the scout instead, and the quest trackers show why:

  • DanKnowsStuff’s tracker ends the gorilla kill quest by sending you back to her.
  • Dannie’s own trackers show that the walking, dodging and swinging quests from the gorilla video belong to Scout Koa:
Training quest Walk Dodge-rolls Swings
Scout’s Warm-Up 300 steps 10 30
Middle drill, recalled by Dannie (unverified) About 1,000 steps About 25 About 50 on beasts
The Scout’s Trial 2,000 steps 50 in a fight 150 landed on beasts

So Dannie’s video mixes two quest lines. The official notes describe the scout’s training as 3 drill quests that pay out the Regen I enchant and 23 Tier Scrolls. Dannie suggests doing them alongside the archer’s quest, since the archer helps with damage (unverified). The quests page lists every Jungle quest found so far.

How do you finish the kill quests faster?

Dannie’s tips for the kill quest (unverified):

  • Place totems. A damage totem makes kills faster, and a luck totem adds extra item drops and XP. A coin totem is an option if you want coins while you farm.
  • Drop a safe zone totem so other players cannot attack you. Dannie got killed by another player during the video and calls that the hardest part, especially at low level.
  • Bring healing. Dannie mentions golden apples, or any kind of healing item.
  • Craft the Jungle Bow. Shooting lets you farm from a safer distance, and Dannie calls arrows a cheap recipe.

Some of this is confirmed elsewhere. Gravy Live placed damage and coin totems and ItzVexo placed an XP Totem, so totems are real and go on the ground where you fight. The official Jungle notes list Jungle Wood, Cobwebs and Iron Ore as the Jungle Bow’s ingredients, and the crafting screen in Dannie’s video asks for 50 cobwebs and 30 iron ore, with the wood count hidden behind a tooltip. Dannie reads it as 75 jungle wood (unverified).

The PvP risk is real: in both Dannie’s and DanKnowsStuff’s footage, the PvP indicator reads on out in the open Jungle and off in safe spots, such as the central plaza in Dannie’s video and Grandma Fern’s treehouse in DanKnowsStuff’s.

What does the mount do?

It makes you faster. Dannie calls the chain “a really long tedious task” to get “quicker speed”. The official notes add that Mount Tier Scrolls reroll a mount’s Tier to change its Speed, and that you find them at the Merchant or earn them from quests. Your first win against Warden Alder also gives 10 Mount Tier Scrolls along with weapon and armor scrolls, and codes have handed them out before. The tier scrolls guide covers how tier rerolls work.

Is it worth the grind?

Only if you plan to spend a lot of time in the Jungle. Dannie chose not to finish the chain on camera because it is long, and recommends it for players who “really want to grind the game”. The Poly Loot map explains how to get there, and the abilities page covers the other Jungle rewards worth chasing on the same trip.
