Poly Loot Cursed Owl: Spawn Timer, Drops and the Cursed Set

How often does the Cursed Owl spawn?

Every 15 minutes. The official V3 patch notes put it in one line: “Take on the Cursed Owl, which returns every 15 minutes.” It is the Dark Forest’s world boss, live since October 3, 2026.

That is the same timer as the Jungle’s Triple Head Cobra. The King Chicken, the Spider and the Triple Head Cobra each have a Robux product that respawns them on demand, and the owl has none of its own. Since October 24 the store also sells a general Respawn Boss (119 Robux) for “the boss on the sign you picked”, though the notes do not list which bosses have a sign.

What does the Cursed Owl drop?

Four things, per the notes:

No drop rates were published. The Index is the place to look: since V3 it shows each chance with your luck applied and counts how many of each enemy you have killed, so you can see your real odds before committing to a farm. The drops page covers how to read it.

What is the Cursed set worth?

+175% Damage, permanently, once the set is complete in the Index. Among the four sets the Dark Forest added, it is the only one that boosts damage:

Most creators recommend putting stat points into Damage first, which the best stats page goes through, and that makes the owl the Dark Forest farm with the most direct payoff. The Soul bonus is bigger on paper, but players report that poison in this game takes a share of your health (unverified), so more Health is not automatically safer.

How many players have beaten it?

The official “Cursed Owl” badge (“Defeat the Cursed Owl!”) was created on October 3, 2026 at 01:21 UTC, about 15 hours before the update went live. By October 31 it had been earned 26,222 times, with a 2.1% win rate listed by Roblox.

The owl is the most-beaten of the three, which fits: it has no stated level requirement, while Archmage Vex needs level 100 and the Dark Dungeon needs level 150.

How should you prepare?

• Try a high rock, but not for the whole fight. Igro Mir found the owl could not hit them on top of a rock in its clearing, so they needed no potions or apples. At half health it knocked them off and nearly killed them, and they had to run, eat a Golden Apple and finish it with another player’s help (unverified).
• Get there first. The Dark Forest is reached on foot through the Jungle; the Dark Forest page has the route.
• Kills now count twice over. V3 made world bosses count towards the Boss Bane title, and boss kills earn clan XP if you are in a clan.
• Servers are bigger. They hold 10 players since V3, up from 8, so expect company at a boss on a public timer — and drops are instant only for players who dealt 40% or more of the damage.
